We are using Kite Publisher Offsite with MARKET, CNC, DAY orders.
In the same basket, some BE stocks such as BLISSGVS-BE, NINSYS-BE and KANORICHEM-BE were completed, but SANGINITA-BE failed with:
MARKET orders are blocked. Try placing MARKET order with market protection enabled.
This has also happened with 4–5 other stocks in previous baskets.
However, market_protection is not mentioned in the Publisher Offsite documentation, and passing it does not work.
Please clarify:
Why do some BE MARKET orders execute while others fail? Is market protection supported in Publisher Offsite? How can we identify restricted stocks before creating the basket? Should such stocks always be sent as LIMIT orders?
Market orders are allowed only for BE-series stocks with a market capitalisation greater than ₹500 crore. For the Publisher Offsite Basket flow, the market_protection parameter is currently not supported. As a workaround, we recommend placing LIMIT orders or fetching the market capitalisation details from the exchange report and using it accordingly for such instruments to avoid rejections.
