You need to send a valid tradingsymbol. This above tradingsymbol is a human-readable format we convert to just to make it easy for users.

The quote API expects a user to send a valid tradingsymbol and exchange or instrument token.

The volume in the Kite Ticker means the number of shares traded till that tick from the market opening. It is not the number of lots.
